Text messages are taking over people’s
social life. At least that’s what most grownups say. Most people tend to
communicate with people via text messages than having a face to face
conversation with them. People worry that all of these text messages will soon
affect people’s social skills. Personally I don’t agree with that because most
teenagers do tend to revolve their life’s around text messages but just because
they text all day long doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t go out and interact
with their friends. We just don’t have enough time to hang out with all the
people we know; therefore we need to text some of them instead of having a face
to face conversation.
I love to text, especially when you
are trying to keep in touch with friends that moved away or with friends that
go to different schools and you don’t get me see often. One thing that does
bother me about text messages are the people who send them. I hate having
friends that are always on their phone when you are with them but as soon as
you text them they take forever to reply or they don’t reply at all. With that
said keep on texting but don’t get too caught up in those text messages and
forget about the people that are there for you whether you text them or not.
i agree with you texting is neeeded for when you dont have enough time to see your friends, sometimes you only have texting left as your only option to communicate
ReplyDeletei communicate with my long distance friends like that
ReplyDeleteI think texing is a great way to keep in touch with friends who have moved away also!
ReplyDeleteI myself enjoy texting,I find it easier to communicate with my friends,I myself get frustrated when I don't get a reply back.
ReplyDeletetake the pledge and dont text and drive
ReplyDeleteMaria, what a great view on face to face interaction over texting; who has time to spend with every friend or family relative every day to have a conversation. Your point was well taken. Furthermore, you’re so right, slow texters or repliers do suck!
ReplyDeleteie been told that texting so much is going to end my social life but i disagree.
ReplyDeleteTexting is nice but sometimes you just want to have a conversation with friends without a text inturuption.
ReplyDeleteI wish people would just wait until the conversation was over to look at their phone
